MATERIALS

We create our products using as many environmentally responsible & recyclable materials as possible. We use bio-based fabrics made from apple waste, cactus fiber and recycled plastic bottles.

WATERBORNE FABRIC

This fabric is composed of water-based polyurethane resin which originates from pollution-free and non-toxic processes and production materials. Waterborne PU is an environmentally friendly material and retains excellent physical properties, softness and elasticity.

APPLE MATERIAL

It recovers apple peels and cores from food industry discards. The apple waste is used to substitute other raw materials of chemical origin and lower the consumption of energy through the production chain.

COFFEE MATERIAL

This new material gives new life to coffee grounds. To obtain it, coffee grounds, are mechanically broken down into powder which is mixed with a waterborne polyurethane to create the Coffee Material

SPONGE FABRIC

This material is developed by a new process that permits to the final product to have the look of a sponged surface. The development of this material does not involve any sort of animal suffering. The majority of its composition is cotton and the rest is PA, that is more durable than polyester.

RUBBER MATERIAL

The outer sole, with a deeply embossed logo, is made of natural rubber with cork remains, a 100% natural raw material that is born from a tree and retrieved every nine years without the tree ever being cut.

PU STRAW

Thin weaved stripes were developed for this design, creating the final effect of straw weaving stripes. The development of this material does not involve any sort of animal suffering. Straw PU is an ecological alternative to PVC as it does not require the same chemical plasticizers to be produced and is more biodegradable over time.

RECYCLED NYLON

A large part of the recycled nylon comes from old fishing nets and pre-used garments, a great solution to divert garbage from the planet and the oceans.

PINEAPPLE MATERIAL

This innovative fabric is made from pineapple leaves waste, a by-product of the harvest that does not require additional environmental resources for its production. The plant leaves which are left behind are collected in bundles, washed and dried for a shiny, fluff-like feeling.

ORGANIC CACTUS

The cactus plantation is perennial which means they are planted once and last for about 8 years, different from other plantations. Cactus absorbs CO2 during night and its metabolism protects water.

CORK MATERIAL

Cork is an ecological and renewable material with origins in the western Mediterranean area. Due to the extraction of its cortex, the cork tree absorb 5 times more CO2 than other trees. This material is obtained without mistreating or damaging the tree.

COFFEE STONES

This handle is made of stone effect beads alternated with shiny rings for a natural feel. This new material combines recycled methacrylate with coffee grains which makes the blend special and unique.

ECO FUR

This material is produced with recycled polyester, it is animal free and it represents a decrease of 32% in energy use and 59% in CO2 emissions compared to virgin polyester.

RECYCLED TETRA PAK®

The chain is made of a new plastic material coming from recycled polylaminate food boxes, the most known as Tetra Pak®. The mix obtained is composed of Polyethylene and Aluminum which gives a metallic touch.

DUST BAG

Organic cotton comes from non genetically modified plants and without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilizers or peticides.

RECYCLED MATERIALS

The linings of our bags are made with 100% recycled materials, most of these obtained from PET plastic bottles.

PACKAGING

The packaging materials involved in this product such as hangtags, boxes, tapes are made from recycled paper.
